Casa Real Reserva Especial 2021 is positioned as the “Best Cabernet Sauvignon” in Chile by Alistair Cooper MW by Catad’Or
5 de September de 2024With 97 points, this iconic wine from Viña Santa Rita was also recognized as “Best Maipo”. Both awards were given by the Latin American Wine Guide, led by the renowned Master of Wine.
The ceremony brought together the most distinguished wineries of Chile, as well as experts and enthusiasts from the industry, with a focus on highlighting the quality, diversity, and authenticity of Chilean wines, reaffirming their global leadership.
Awarded as “Best Cabernet Sauvignon” and “Best Maipo”, Casa Real Reserva Especial 2021 is an iconic wine is the result of a perfect combination: the exceptional terroir of Alto Jahuel, the nobility of Cabernet Sauvignon and a great oenological experience, come together to create a wine that is the pride of the national viticulture.
Also, Colección de Origen, a set Ultra Premium wines, stood out with five other special trophies. One of them was Pewën de Apalta 2022, which was recognized as “Best Carménère” and “Best Apalta”. Inspired by the Araucaria in the Santa Rita’s centennial park, one of Chile’s most sacred trees, this mature and elegant Carménère reflects the potential of the variety, positioning itself among the best wine varieties globally.
On the other hand, Floresta Cabernet Franc 2022 received the awards for “Best Cabernet Franc” and “Best Colchagua”, while Floresta Field Blend Blanco 2022 won the award for “Best White Wine”. Both belong to the Floresta range, which brings together five grape varieties that stand out for their minimal oenological intervention, seeking a different look at the classic Chilean varieties.
